2. Dosage Calculation: The dosage of PAC depends on factors like turbidity of the water, pH, temperature, and the type of contaminants present. A jar test is commonly performed to determine the optimal dosage that will achieve the desired level of clarification and sedimentation.


3. Mixing and Flocculation: Once the PAC solution is prepared, it's added to the raw water at a predetermined point in the treatment system, often through a dosing pump or mixing chamber. Rapid mixing is initially carried out to ensure even distribution of the coagulant throughout the water.
